Davide Presciuttini was born in Rome. He graduated in philosophy and started painting and etching in New York during a three month stay at the School of Visual Arts.

He started to turn abstract in 2015. At the beginning he was exploring black and white on paper and only then moved to colours on canvas.

He is based in Berlin since 2017

His work explores the fragmentation of symbolic reality, its mystical dark nature and at the same time its neverending rebirth. The ongoing fascination with baroque art of his hometown blends with this violent and anarchic deconstructive spirit. This leads to the celebration of contemporary emptiness in a religion of the nothing.
